Obituary

Passed away at Carbonear General Hospital on Thursday, June 9, 2022, William J. Wall at the age of 85.

He was born on January 21, 1937 to John and Elizabeth Wall (Corbett) and was raised in Harbour Main and as an adult worked in Stephenville on the Army base and later as a Mechanic. He was also a Park Officer in Butter Pot Park and Gushue’s Pond Park, which he enjoyed tremendously.

William was predeceased by his daughter Marlene, son Jimmy and the mother of his children, Margaret.

He leaves to mourn his children: Ronnie (Loretta), Elizabeth, Billy (Christine), Winnifred (Ralph), Raymond, Johnny, Art, Darryl and Wanda (Kevin), 18 grandchildren, 23 great grandchildren and 3 great great grandchildren.

William will be forever remembered by his friends and family.

As per his wishes, there will be no service and his ashes will be laid to rest with his parents.

He never looked for praises

He was never one to boast

He just went on quietly working

For the ones he loved the most

His wants were very few

And most of the time his worries

Went unspoken too

He was there, a firm foundation

Through all our storms of life

A sturdy hand to hold on to

In times of stress and strife

A true friend we could turn to

When times were good or bad

One of our greatest blessings

The man we called dad
