Walter Joseph Hawco

Passed away suddenly at home on Thursday, November 23, 2023 at the age of 70.

He was predeceased by his parents Michael and Margaret (nee Dobbin) and beloved Aunt Marie Hawco.

Leaving to mourn with fond memories are his wife Lillian Hawco and children; Joshua and Dominique, son‑in‑law Bram, and his cherished grandchildren, Savannah and William. 

Walter will be dearly missed by his close friends; Kevin, John and Ben, co-workers: Wade, Bob, Jerome, Fraser, Mike, Jeff and Andrew at Natural Resources Canada.

At Walter’s request, cremation has taken place. Resting at Dunphy’s Funeral Home, Holyrood. The family will receive visitors from 1:00 pm - 7:00 pm on Wednesday, November 29, 2023.

A private service will be held for the family at Dunphy’s Funeral Home, Holyrood on Thursday, November 30th, 2023 at 11:00 am with Father Ken Walsh officiating. Inurnment will follow at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, donations to Walter’s memory may be made to the Dr. H. Bliss Murphy Cancer Foundation or a charity of your choice.
