Dad had a vibrant work ethic like no other, he was very driven at a young age. Having been born into a merchant lifestyle in Chapel’s Cove, he carried that forward to North Arm, where he ran Terry’s Convenience, inclusive of being the Postmaster for many years. Dad then opened an Irving Gas Station, then moved on to be a Tractor Trailer Driver which he dearly loved. He had great pride in the 1.5 million miles he drove. In his retirement years, he drove the school bus, which he truly enjoyed seeing his students daily.
We want to thank Woodford’s Comfort Manor endlessly for the care they offered Dad. Ensuring that his appetite was appeased, was a force to be reckoned with and they successfully achieved that. We would like to thank our mother, Marjorie for always being there behind the scenes to support dad in anyway she could. We would like to thank the staff of 4 South B at the Health Sciences Centre, Dr. House and Dr. Orr for their professionalism and compassion they offered to Dad in his final days. We would like to send out a special thank you to John, Wendy and Barb for travelling home to be with us during this difficult time. Anyone that was part of Dads journey, we thank you.
