Susan Hynes of Holyrood, passed peacefully away surrounded by her loving family at the Health Sciences Centre on September 15, 2022 at the age of 61.
She was predeceased by her infant daughter Susan Pauline, son Wayne Daniel, father Mark Wiseman and father-in-law James Hynes.
Leaving to mourn with cherished memories, the love of her life and husband of 40 years Wayne Hynes, her devoted daughter Sarah Evans (Lucas), precious grandchildren: Harlow, Wyatt and Lincoln Evans, her beloved mother Francis Wiseman and darling mother-in-law Marcella Hynes. Also grieving her loss are her sisters; Patricia Wiseman (Edward) and Doris Butler (Karl), brothers; Philip Wiseman (Lisa) and Mark Wiseman (Juanita), brothers-in-law; Michael Hynes (Loretta), Paul Hynes (Leigh Ann) and James Hynes, sisters-in-law; Janet Budden (Richard), and Evelyn Hynes, along with many nieces & nephews and a large circle of extended family and friends.
Susan was a beautiful person inside and out. Being the oldest of five, she was a natural caregiver and took pride in her children and all their accomplishments. Wayne & Susan's was often the gathering place for family and friends where Susan made everyone feel welcomed the minute they walked through the door. Guests would enjoy Susan's delicious cooking, many laughs, good music, a few dances and good times. Susan maintained her sharp wit to the end and will be fondly remembered by all those lives who she had touched.
Resting at Dunphy’s Funeral Home, Holyrood. Visitation will be held on Thursday, September 22nd from 1:00 pm - 4:00 pm and 6:00 pm – 8:00 pm. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:30 am on Friday, September 23rd at Holy Cross Catholic Church, Holyrood with inurnment to follow at Holy Cross Cemetery, Holyrood.
A special thanks are extended to the staff of the CCU at the Health Sciences for the compassion in Susan's final days, as well as the staff of 4SW Pleasant View Towers for their support and professionalism over the years.
Flowers are gratefully accepted or donations in Susan’s memory may be made to the Canadian Mental Health Association or to a charity of one’s choice.
