Rosanne (nee Parsons) Hawco

It is with broken hearts that we announce the passing of Rosanne Hawco on Sunday, December 8, 2024 at 77 years of age.

She was predeceased by parents; Alfred George and Florence Parsons, sister, Amelia Bolt, father-in-law, Michael Hawco and mothers-in-law; Marjorie Hawco and Mary Hawco.

Left with fond and loving memories, are her husband of 45 years, Michael, daughters; Paula (Brian Caines) and Marjorie (Tony Georgakopoulos), four grandchildren, her pride and joy: Jeffrey, Nicholas, Kai and Kaylee, special niece, Marilyn Bolt, sisters: Hilda Breen (Tom), Geraldine Rogers (Cliff), Esther Alexander and Pearl Hunt, brothers; Ben Parsons (Barb) and Seymour Parsons, in-laws; Anne-Marie Dawe (Gerald) and Phil Hawco (Anna) numerous nieces and nephews, as well as a circle of other relatives and friends.

Rosanne was born and raised in Indian Bay with her parents and seven siblings. Despite her disabilities, she was determined to be independent. She moved to Holyrood in 1979 when she married Michael, and together they raised their two girls. Her favourite role in life was being nanny to her four grandchildren. Mom never missed an episode of Days of Our Lives and her crossword puzzles were never far out of reach. Remember, there is no cheating in Scrabble, in heaven.

Resting at Dunphy’s Funeral Home, Holyrood, Visitation will take place on Thursday, December 12th from 2:30 pm – 8:30 pm. Funeral Service will be held at Dunphy’s Memorial Chapel on Friday, December 13th, 2024 at 11:00 am with interment to follow at Holy Cross Cemetery, Holyrood.

Flowers gratefully accepted or donations in Rosanne’s memory, may be made to a charity of one’s choice.
