It is with heavy hearts that the family of Bob Luffman, announce his peaceful passing at home in his 80th year, surrounded by his family on July 10, 2025.
He was predeceased by beloved siblings: Bernice, Herb, Roy, Nancy and Al along with Carrie’s siblings: Nellie, Tommy, Billy and Mary Ann.
Bob leaves to mourn his wife of 56 years Caroline (Carrie). Together they raised six children: Randy (Lucy), Cathy (Rube), Tammy, Rob (Lisa), David and Eric (Julie). He took immense pride in his role of grandfather to nine grandchildren and as great grandfather to five precious great-grandchildren. Remembered fondly by his siblings Jane, Judy and Elaine. Bob was also cherished brother-in-law to Carrie’s siblings: Marg, Catherine, Marie and Carmel.
A quiet and humble man, Bob found great joy in the simple pleasures in life. He especially loved trouting, often returning from the ponds with stories bigger than his catch. He was frequently seen with his trusted bamboo rod in hand. Bob’s greatest legacy was his family, and he leaves behind a legacy of love, patience and quiet strength that will live on in the hearts of those who knew him.
We are deeply grateful to everyone who offered love, support, and kindness as dad faced his illness with such courage. A very special thank you to Rube – your unwavering presence meant the world. You dropped everything time and again, to be there for dad at a moment’s notice. Your devotion will always be remembered.
A private family service will be held at a later date.
