Peter Gerard Barron

It is with broken hearts that we announce that Peter passed away unexpectedly and peacefully at home on Thursday, July 17, 2025 at 61 years of age.

He was predeceased by his mom Olive, dad John and brother Andrew, Peter continued his dad’s legacy of being a devoted family man and he loved spending time with those who meant the most to him. Peter had a great sense of humour, loved to have fun and share a laugh. He also loved the outdoors! When people reached out for help, Peter was always willing to show up. We, his family, will miss him dearly.

Leaving to mourn are his pride and joy; daughter, Brandi (Dawson) son, Bailey and wife, Susan. Peter is also survived by his brothers: Michael (Elaine), Jimmy (Ann), Johnny and Steven (Hazel), sisters: Louise (Cyril), Maggie (Robert), Agatha (Jimmy), sister-in-law Leona (Sylvain), a large number of nieces and nephews, as well as a circle of close friends. 

At this time, we would like to thank anyone and everyone who has been kind and assisted Peter in any way when he was living in Colinet. We would especially like to say thank you to Brian for his frequent visits and constant friendship, to his sister Louise for always being available when needed and for those loaves of homemade bread that Peter enjoyed so much, to his brother Michael and sister-in-law Elaine for their visits, especially during Peter’s hospitalizations, to Donny and Wanda for their many kind acts, to his neighbour Eleanor for her and her mom’s many delicious meals that were dropped off and also to George and Cathy for their acts of kindness.

Cremation has taken place, visitation will be held at Dunphy’s Funeral Home, Holyrood on Tuesday, July 22nd from 2:00 – 8:00 pm. Funeral Liturgy will be celebrated at Dunphy’s Memorial Chapel, Holyrood on Wednesday, July 23, 2025 at 10:30 am.

Brandi, Bailey and Susan would like you to join us and it would warm our hearts to see you drop by and share your memories with us.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held at a later date.
