MaryLou (O'Flaherty) Perrier

It is with broken hearts that we announce MaryLou passed peacefully away at the Health Sciences Centre on Tuesday, January 31st, 2023 at 76 years of age.

She was predeceased by her parents; George and Louise O’Flaherty and brother Kenneth.  Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories are her husband of 55 years, Cletus, son Gary and daughter Kelly & son-in-law Aiden Martin, precious grandchildren; David and Melanie, brother and sister-in-law Kevin and Alice Flaherty, sister and brother-in-law Colleen and Fred Wade, brother-in-law Bill Perrier, sister-in-law Verna Muise, best friend Doreen Bennett, many nieces and nephews, as well as a circle of other relatives and friends. 

MaryLou was the kindest, most loving and generous woman you’d ever meet.  She was known for her deep love of family, friends and the primary school children she taught in her long career, whom she referred to as “my kids.”  MaryLou especially shone in her role as Best Grandmom Ever, which involved camping in the living room, making “s’periments” (i.e. messes), creating beautiful quilts for her grandchildren, and attending all manner of activities and recitals.

Resting at Dunphy’s Funeral Home, Holyrood. Visitation will be held on Friday, February 3rd from 1:00 pm to 8:00 pm.

Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Assumption Catholic Church, Avondale on Saturday, February 4th, 2023 at 1:30 pm with interment to follow at Assumption Cemetery, Goat Shore Road, Avondale.
