Marie Perpetua Gregory

Passed peacefully away surrounded by family on Thursday, April 24, 2025, Marie Perpetua Gregory (nee Gough) aged 85.

She was predeceased by her parents; Michael and Jessie (nee Tobin) Gough, parents-in-law; Dennis and Sarah Gregory, brothers; Joe and Ralph and sisters-in-law; Catherine and Patricia Gough.

Leaving to mourn her husband of 64 years, William, children: Kevin (Michelle), Patrick (Linda), Paul (Maxine), Peter (Florence), Ann Marie (Daryl Whelan) and William (Lauren), her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Marie is also survived by her sisters: Elizabeth (Joe Davis), Helena (Bob Coady), Maureen (Tony Healey) and Anna Power, as well as a large circle of nieces and nephews, extended family, especially Kenneth and Michelle Pieroway, Georgette and Dave Clairmont and other relatives and friends.

A special thank you to the staff of 2 SW Pleasant View Towers and Dr. Essaji for the care they showed her. Thanks to Fr. Nelson Boren, Fr. Ken Walsh, Sr. Alicia Linehan, and the pastoral team at Pleasant View Towers for their spiritual guidance and support.

Mom was a woman of incredible faith and lived her life as such, guided by the core values of charity, love, compassion, and empathy.

Cremation has taken place and a wake will take place on Wednesday, May 14, 2025 from 1:00 pm – 4:30 pm at Mount Carmel Town Hall, Mount Carmel, St. Mary’s Bay, NL.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her memory to the charity of your choice.
