It is with deep sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Marian Anne Costigan, aged 72 years of Harbour Main on Friday, November 25, 2022.
She was predeceased by her husband Gerald, parents; James and Rachael Mason, sisters; Agnes (Steven Coffey), Margaret (Ambrose Wade), Maureen Mason (Fabian), Beth and Bernice (John), brother Joe and parents-in-law; Samuel and Margaret Costigan.
Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories are her son Darrell (Jennifer) and grandchildren; Madison and Malcolm of Strathmore, Alberta, sisters: Marie (Val), Linda (Vince) and Maxine (Billy), sisters-in-law; Joan (Donnie) and Marian (Carter), brothers-in-law Patrick and Paddy, many nieces and nephews, as well as a large circle of other relatives and friends.
Marian was a special wife, mother, grandmother, sister, friend and coworker. She was a hard worker who took great pride in her work. Marian will always be remembered for her devotion to her family whom she loved dearly. Her bright smile and generosity will never be forgotten. Marian was a true animal lover and was dedicated to her pets.
The Family would like to extend their sincere thanks and gratitude to the doctors and nurses at the Health Sciences Centre Emergency Department & 4 South B and all who have helped during this difficult time.
At Marian’s request, cremation has taken place and there will be no visitation or formal church services. If friends so desire, donations in her memory may be made to the Heart & Stroke Foundation or the SPCA.
