It is with deep sadness that we announce the sudden but peaceful passing of our mother, grandmother, great grandmother, aunt and friend, Margaret (Margie) Corbett.
Margaret passed peacefully, surrounded by her family, on Sunday, August 25th at The Health Sciences Center.
She was predeceased by her husband, Patrick J. Corbett, son Joseph Corbett, daughter-law Karen and great grandson Aidyn.
Leaving to mourn with loving memories are her children: Patricia (Glen), David (Nina), Lena, Bobby (Tammy), Sherry (Sam) and Linda, grandchildren: Alyssa, Krista, Austin, Kyle (Anne), Robert (Brittany), Dylan, Nick (Edward), Adam (Nicole), Peggy (Jeremy), Natasha (Paul), Alex (Staci), Myles, Allison, Devon (Danielle), Jillian (Brent), Connor, Caleb, Taylor and Brittany, great grandchildren; Owen, Maggie, Allie, Kaitlyn, Lauren, James, Leah, Bree, Carter, Faith, Carmen, Chloe, Millie, Willow and Hudson. Margaret also leaves to mourn the St. John family whom she held very dear with high regard, the caring staff at St. Patrick’s Mercy Home and her large circle of other family and friends.
Margaret loved her family, friends and faith unconditionally. True, like Margaret, there wasn’t a crisis that she didn’t put to prayer. Her love of bingo, cards and photography can only be attested to by the sheer volume of albums she has, capturing the moments throughout her life that she held most dear.
The family would like to thank the incredible team of doctors and nurses at the Health Sciences Center as well as all of Margaret’s team at St. Patrick’s Mercy Home for the care that they provided to her.
Resting at Dunphy’s Funeral Home, Holyrood. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, August 28th, from 2:00 pm – 8:00 pm. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church, Harbour Main on Thursday, August 29th, 2024 at 10:30 am with cremation follow. Inurnment will take place at Sts.
