Keith Michael Duke

Passed peacefully away at St. Clare’s Mercy Hospital after a courageous battle with cancer on Monday, November 13, 2023.

Keith was predeceased by his grandparents Philip and Theresa Duke and John and Bridget Kennedy.

Left to mourn with heavy hearts are his devoted and loving parents, Philip and Angela Duke.

Also leaving to mourn with fond memories are his brothers: Philip (Roschella), Glenn (Kim) and Christopher (Jennifer), sisters: Sharon (Mark) and Charmaine (Abibu), Aunt Mary Connolly,  Uncle John Kennedy, nieces and nephews: Dawn (Steve), Melanie (Jeremy), Victoria, Adam (Taylor), Zachary, Alexandra and Christopher Jr., grandnieces & nephews: Avery, Abigail, Clarissa and Aria, a large number of cousins, his best friends; Larry Kennedy and Larry Meany, caring neighbors; Michael and Lynn Meany and his co-workers at Electra Contracting.

We would like to thank the staff at St. Clare’s Mercy and Carbonear General Hospital, Tina from Eastern Health and Gloria from Home Care for the wonderful care that Keith received.

He will forever be remembered driving in his convertible with the top down, wind in his hair, his beloved cat Batman perched on his shoulder and belting out the lyrics to “Purple Rain” with a smile on his face …. “♪ Purple rain, purple rain; I only want to see you; Only want to see you; In the purple rain ♫”

As per Keith’s Request, cremation has taken place. Resting at Dunphy’s Funeral Home, Holyrood. The family will receive visitors on Friday, November 17th, 2023 from 2:00 pm to 8:00 pm. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Holy Cross Catholic Church, Holyrood on Saturday, November 18th at 10:30 am with inurnment to follow at Assumption Cemetery, Avondale.

In lieu of flowers, donations in Keith’s memory may be made to the Dr. H. Bliss Murphy Cancer Foundation or to a charity of your choice.
