John Gerard Linehan

It is with great sadness we announce the passing of our brother John Linehan Jr. at St. Clare’s Mercy Hospital, St. John’s on Monday, November 18, 2024 at the age of 64.

John is now at rest with mom and dad (Rita and Jack Linehan) and other family members who have predeceased him.

Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories are his sisters: Bon (Willie deceased), Mary Lynn (Kerry), Theresa (Steve deceased), Pat (Keith deceased), Debbie (Randy) and Cathy, brothers: Richard (Millie), Wayne (Pam) and Paddy (Ashley), long-term caregiver and extended family Susan Furlong (Ern Learning) and their family, all the wonderful staff, especially: Debbie, Amanda, Gaetana, Nicole and his sidekick Gail Crocker, as well as a large number of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

A special thank you to St. Clare’s Hospital staff on 7th floor west for their special care and compassion, especially Dr. Balan.

Resting at Dunphy’s Funeral Home, Holyrood. Visitation will be held on Friday, November 22 from 2:00 pm to 7:00 pm. A Funeral Service to celebrate John’s life will be held at Dunphy’s Memorial Chapel on Saturday, November 23, 2024 at 12:00 pm with interment to follow at Sacred Heart Cemetery, O’Donnell’s, SMB.
