Joanne Walsh Nolan Obituary

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the sudden but peaceful passing of Joanne Walsh Nolan, aged 55. Joanne passed away at Pleasant View Towers, surrounded by the love of her devoted husband, Ken.

Joanne was predeceased by her parents, Sebastian and Josephine (Collins) Walsh; her brother-in-law, Roy Nash; and her parents-in-law, Ambrose and Annie Nolan.

Leaving behind a lifetime of loving memories is her husband of 32 years, Ken. She will be deeply missed by her siblings: Tony (Janet), Bob (Maria), Dolly Nash, Mike (Joanne), Jud (Sherry), and Ken (Denise). She also leaves to mourn Ken’s siblings and their families, as well as a large circle of nieces and nephews.

While Joanne’s journey was not always an easy one, those who knew her were often touched by her warmth, humor, and quick wit. She found peace in life’s quieter moments, and the family is forever grateful to the caregivers whose dedication provided her with dignity, safety, and companionship over the years.

The family wishes to extend their sincere thanks to the staff of Health Sciences Psychiatry, the Waterford Hospital, Health Sciences Emergency, and Pleasantview Towers for the exceptional care provided to Joanne throughout the years and in her final moments. Special gratitude is also extended to Community Health Nurse Kim Whalen and Dr. Kelly LeDrew of the PIER Program for their unwavering kindness and dedication.
