Iris Mary (nee Poole) Doyle

It is with heavy hearts and a life full of memories that we announce the passing of Iris Mary Doyle on Wednesday, August 16th, 2023.

She was predeceased by her parents Johanna and William Poole, her soulmate and husband Tom and her sisters; Bridget (Patrick deceased) and Patricia. 

Leaving to mourn with beautiful memories are her daughters; Lorri (Ben) and Jill (Robin), precious grandchildren: Aidan, Issac, Kay and Anna, sisters: Jean (Randy) Wheeler, Marilyn Day and Sharon (David) Beck, brothers; Wayne (Teresa) Poole and Tom Poole, many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.

Throughout her life, Iris has touched the lives of many people and had such a kind and loving heart. She always had a smile and a shoulder for anyone to lean on and a hug that always made you feel loved.  Iris was a proud grandmother who loved and cherished her grandchildren. Mary held a special place in her heart, friends for 40 years, she was her best friend and confidant.

At the request of Iris, cremation has taken place. Resting at Dunphy’s Funeral Home, Holyrood. Visitation will be held on Sunday, August 20th from 2:00 pm to 8:00 pm. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Assumption Catholic Church, Avondale on Monday, August 21st, 2023 at 10:30 am with interment to follow at Assumption Cemetery, Goat Shore Road, Avondale.

Iris loved flowers and donations to a charity of choice are greatly appreciated.
