Irene Mary (nee Crawley) Martin

It is with broken hearts that we announce, Irene passed away suddenly at home on Sunday, February 5th, 2023 at 76 years of age.

She was predeceased by her parents; Lawrence and Bridget (nee Kieley) Crawley, sisters: Shirley Crawley, Dorothy Tobin (Kevin), Florence Evans (Edmund) and Veronica Wall and parents-in-law; Ernest and Bella Martin. 

Left with fond and loving memories are her soulmate and husband Al of 54 years, son Dwayne, daughter Nadine, precious grandchildren whom she thoroughly adored: Brett, Amber, Skylar and Joseph, sisters; Joan (Jim) Gushue and Betty (Robert deceased) Breen, brothers and sisters-in-law: Dennis Wall, Leonard ( Freda) Martin, Ernestine Martin, Frances Martin, Jeanette (William deceased) LaBlanc, Ronald (Rita) Martin, Gerard (Linda) Martin, Doreen (Armore deceased) Gallant, Adelard (Janine) Martin and Yolande (Hector) Johnson, grandpuppy Maggie, as well as a large circle of other relatives and friends.

Irene always had a passion for decorating. She was well known for her venue decorating, especially weddings and parties of all kinds. She was a great baker and spent many hours creating cakes for all occasions.

Resting at Barrett’s Funeral Home, 73 Commonwealth Avenue, Mount Pearl. Visitation will take place on Thursday, February 9th, 2023 from 1:00 pm to 8:00 pm. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Kevin’s Catholic Church, 454 Main Road, Goulds on Friday, February 10th, 2023 at 10:00 am with cremation to follow.
