Gerald R. "Gerry" Vanier

It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Gerald Richard Vanier of Holyrood, who passed away peacefully with family by his side on January 4, 2024 at the age of 85 years.

Gerry is survived by his wife Dorothy of 59 years, children: Michael, Sharon and Christopher, grandchildren Daniel, Michael, Katie and Nicholas. He will be remembered for his inspiration, kind words, endless compliments, great storytelling and life lessons but mostly for loving and laughing in this life and surely into the next.

At Gerry’s request, cremation has taken place. In the spring, his family will be taking him to his final resting place in Cape Breton.
