It is with deep sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Gerald Edward Costigan, aged 76 years of Harbour Main on Sunday, October 24, 2021
He was predeceased by his parents; Samuel and Margaret Costigan, Parents-in-law; James and Rachael Mason and sisters-in-law: Mary Costigan, Marg (Ambrose), Agnes (Stephen), Beth, Bernice, Maureen and brother-in-law Joe.
Leaving to mourn, his loving wife of 50 years, Marian, son Darrell (Jennifer) and grandchildren; Madison and Malcolm of Strathmore, Alberta, sisters; Joan (Donnie) and Marian (Carter), brother Patrick, sisters-in-law: Marie (Val), Linda (Vince) and Maxine (Billy), brothers-in-law: Paddy and John, many nieces and nephews, as well as a large circle of other relatives and friends.
Gerald was a special husband, father, grandfather, brother, friend and coworker.
He was a proud Iron Worker of the Local 764 for 57 years, who took great pride in his work.
Gerald will always be remembered for his devotion to his wife whom he loved dearly. His bright smile and generosity will never be forgotten. He was a true animal lover and was dedicated to his pets.
The Family would like to extend their sincere thanks and gratitude to all who have helped during this difficult time. At Gerald’s request, cremation has taken place and there will be no visitation or formal church services. If friends so desire, donations in Gerald’s memory may be made to the Heart & Stroke Foundation or the SPCA.
