Dennis Fewer of Calgary, AB, passed away on Monday, April 21, 2025, at the age of 64 years.
Dennis was born in Holyrood, NL, on November 5, 1960. He moved to Calgary, AB, where he resided until his passing.
He worked in construction for many years, leaving behind a legacy of impressive accomplishments throughout the city. One of his biggest accomplishments was being highlighted on the front cover of The Beat Goes Up magazine for building the National Music Centre.
He had a passion for sports and was a devoted fan of his favourite team, the Toronto Maple Leafs. He also enjoyed playing darts and spending time with his loved ones on late-night adventures.
His love for his family was unmatched, and he treasured family gatherings and spending time with his five grandchildren. Dennis was also a loyal friend, always there to support and share adventures with those close to him.
Dennis is deeply missed by his two daughters, Kori (Steve) Hudyma, and Renee (Steve Noonan) Fewer; and his five grandchildren, Evan Fewer-Hudyma, Riley Hudyma, Mason Fewer-Hudyma, Izabella Fewer-Hudyma, and Briella Fewer-Noonan “Goldilocks”. He leaves behind his two brothers, Joe and Richard; and one sister, Ann (Terry), as well as numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. He is also survived by his cherished pets, Charlie and Bentley.
Dennis was predeceased by his parents, Elizabeth (nee Reynolds) and Patrick Fewer, sister Rosemary, brother and sister-in-law, Jim and Yvonne, and his beloved pet, Simba.
NOTICE: Due to the Wild Fire Emergency Evacuation Order, the Graveside Service is postponed until Monday, August 11th.
A Graveside Service will be held at Holy Cross Cemetery, Holyrood on Monday, August 11, 2025 at 11:30 am with Father David Joy officiating.
He will always be remembered for his unwavering love and support for his family and friends.
