It is with broken hearts that we announce the peaceful passing of Denise Costello Lewis of Conception Harbour. Denise was a caring wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend. She left this world surrounded by her loved ones on April 24th, 2023 at age 66.
Denise embodied love, compassion, patience, kindness, and strength throughout her years. She dedicated her life to her three sons and her precious grandson who loved her beyond measure.
Waiting to embrace her with loving arms are parents William and Margaret Costello, and brother Bill Costello.
Left to cherish and celebrate her life are husband Fred “Junior”, sons Jason, Mark (Kayla) and Andrew (Kelsey); special grandson and best friend Luke; stepdaughter Pam (Harris Morris) and stepsons Richard (Erica) and Dwayne (Tammy); step grandchildren Brandi, Ben, Logan, Summer, Bree, Tia, Jackson and Avery; brother Ken Costello (Eleanor); sisters Debbie Cole (Billy) and Annette Hillier (Albert); and sister-in-law Betty Ann Costello.
Denise also has a large circle of nieces, nephews, godchildren, and extended family and friends who will miss her dearly.
At her request, cremation has taken place. The family will receive visitors at Dunphy's Funeral Home, Holyrood on Wednesday, April 26th, 2023 from 1:00 pm to 8:00 pm. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Holy Cross Catholic Church on Thursday, April 27th at 10:30 am (for those unable to attend, the funeral service will be livestreamed with the link available below) with a reception to follow at the Royal Canadian Legion Branch No. 64, Holyrood.
If friends so desire, donations in Denise's memory may be made to Crohn's & Colitis Foundation or Ronald McDonald House.
We would like to send a heartfelt thanks to the incredible medical team at the Health Science Intensive Care Unit, who took great care of Denise with their gentle kindness and support in her final days. We will forever be grateful to them.
Denise's bravery and strength is unparalleled, as we hope to carry that forward in her memory.
