With heavy hearts and deep gratitude for a life well lived, we announce the passing of Chris Ezekiel of Mount Carmel, who passed away on Sunday, May 24, 2026, at the age of 48, surrounded by the love of his family.
Chris was the proud father to Kale, Christopher (Eden), and Amber, who were the centre of his world. He also leaves behind his loving partner, Dawn, and her girls Lauren and Paige; his mother, Agnes; his siblings, Philip (Leahan), Adam (Park), and Mary; his special Auntie B and a large circle of aunts, uncles, cousins and extended family, friends, coworkers, and community members whose lives were touched by his presence.
He was predeceased by his cherished grandparents, Patrick and Annie Ezekiel, whose love and guidance remained close to his heart throughout his life.
Known for his strength and determination, Chris could always be counted on for encouragement, a laugh, and a helping hand. He had an incredible ability to lift others up, even during difficult times. He served Mount Carmel as a volunteer firefighter, where he selflessly gave his time and courage to protect his community. Chris enjoyed life’s simple pleasures, especially cheering on the Toronto Maple Leafs, playing darts, and enjoying a bottle of Lambs in the shed with his buddies.
Chris adored Dawn, who was not only his partner, but his greatest supporter and his best friend. He was a deeply caring son and brother whose presence brought comfort, laughter, and unwavering loyalty. He dearly loved his dogs, Sam and Zeus, who were never far from his side. Above all else, his children were the light of his life. Chris spoke of them with endless pride and unconditional love, finding his greatest joy in being their father.
While his passing leaves us with an immeasurable void, his legacy lives on through all the love he gave, the lives he touched, and the countless memories shared by family, friends, and all who had the privilege of knowing him.
A Celebration of Life will be held at Mount Carmel Town Hall on Saturday, May 30, 2026 at 3:00 pm. Cremation has taken place and a private burial of his ashes will be held by family at a later date.
With deep appreciation, our family thanks the doctors, nurses, and staff of the Health Sciences Centre ICU for their dedicated and compassionate care. Our family extends sincere gratitude to everyone for their love, support, and condolences during this difficult time
