Bernice C. (nee Coombs) Flynn

It is with a lifetime of loving memories we announce the peaceful passing of our mother, Bernice. She went to her rest surrounded by family and loving friends at Agnes Pratt Home, long term care facility in St. John's on Friday, January 13th, 2023.

She was predeceased by her parents; James and Agnes Coombs, her siblings: Ed Coombs, Ursula Thomas and Adrian Coombs, father and mother-in-law; William and Ellen Flynn, as well as members of the Coombs and Flynn families.

Leaving to mourn are her children: Agnes, Michael (Marie deceased), Jimmy, Denise (Yvonne), Billy (Carol) and Liam (her grandson with whom she resided), grandchildren: Joe, Janine and John (Nicole) Lewis, Alan Flynn, Chris and Shane Taylor, Alanna Farrow (Adam), Jamie, Jarrett and Joanne Flynn and Angela Smith (Nick). Also mourning her loss are 5 great grandchildren, special nieces; Eileen Coombs and Trudy Hetzel, her children’s father Mike Flynn and members of the Coombs and Flynn families, as well as a large circle of other relatives and friends.

Resting at Dunphy's Funeral Home, Holyrood. Visitation will be held on Monday, January 16th and Tuesday, January 17th from 1:00 pm – 8:00 pm. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Holy Cross Catholic Church, Holyrood on Wednesday, January 18th, 2023 at 10:30 am with interment to follow at Holy Cross Cemetery, Holyrood.
