It is with broken hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved mother, grandmother and sister, Ann Joy, age 68 years of Harbour Main. Ann passed peacefully away, in the presence of her loving family, on Thursday, February 23, 2023, at St. Clare’s Mercy Hospital. She was predeceased by her husband, Albert Joy, parents; Vincent and Elsie Wall, sister Genevieve, brother Gerald, sister-in-law Jean Wall, brother-in-law Bill Jeffery, parents-in-law; John and Stella Joy, brothers-in-law; Michael Joy and Fred Joy.
Left with fond and loving memories are her daughter, Kelly (Doug) Devereaux, her son, Craig (Jennifer), her adoring and most precious grandchildren: Mitchel, Zachary, Halle, and Ella. Her sisters: Violet Jeffery, Floss Ryan (Gary), Bride Walsh (Rick), Cathy Winsor (Bob), Ina Wall (David), her brother Howard Wall, the Joy Family and her many nieces, nephews as well as a large circle of other relatives and friends.
Her grandchildren were her greatest blessing and dearest to her heart. “Nan Joy” will always be remembered for the abundance of love, fun and laughter she brought to their lives.
At Ann’s request, cremation has taken place. The family will receive visitors at Dunphy’s Funeral Home, Holyrood, on Monday, February 27, 2023 from 2:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church, Harbour Main, on Tuesday, February 28, 2023 at 10:30 a.m. with interment to follow at Sts. Peter and Paul Cemetery, Harbour Main.
Flowers are gratefully accepted. Donations in her memory may be made to a charity of one's choice.
