The fondest of my childhood memories include Ceil & Vince Beeso. Hard working, generous and the best of friends to my parents, Doris & Gerard. Never would we do without as the "back door" was always open to our family to purchase necessities after the family store was closed. My thoughts and prayers with Jr., Patsy, Debbie & Terry; although left us in body, Ceil will always be in our hearts.

I just heard about Ceil's passing, my deepest sympathy's go out to all of the Beeso Family. I have many fond childhood memories of Ceil. One of my fondest memories was as a child I always thought they had the best store in the world because where else could you go as a child and buy as much junk food as you wanted without spending a cent! Little did I realize that Nan Rideout had an account there and between the two of them they taught me my first lessons about charging and "I owe you's"! She'll truly be missed! Junior and family, just found out about Mrs. Beeso's. She was such a nice person, I will always remember her, and Mr. Beese's. She was very proud of all you. Junior & The Beeso Families, words fail at a time like this; especially when so many lovely memories of years past roll across my mind.Mother Alice and Her Family have always been a part of Nanny Targett and her family, the friendships lasted many lifetimes. The cups of tea and noisy chatter. Then the store with Cecilia & Vince & Mrs. Maggie, there was always tea & cookies after the long walk out Salmonier Line with Mom. We spent the whole afternoon, it was a social thing as well as a grocery getting thing. Mom had her note and The "Good-Bye..ing at the door took almost as long as the grocery getting. Then Vince drove us home.Cecilia was always so pleasant and kind and generous to everyone, it was a pleasure to know her. She was a wonderful person and a lovely Mother.Our thoughts are with you and we hope that knowing we share in your loss may help a little by sharing a few memories. Love to you all, Gen & Kevin.

To Cecilia's children and grandchildren, I knew Cecilia since I was able to walk to Besso's Store with mom's grocery note. I remember her as been soft spoken, and always wearing a big smile that lit up her face. I always admired her complection and often said, Cecilia never grows old. I remember her as a beautiful lady. Patsy, Debbie, Junior & Terry, Don & I were very sorry to have missed your mother's funeral. Last weekend, Patsy, I met you & Don ran into Debbie & we did not know that your Mom had passed. Holyrood has changed alot from the time that Mom & Cecil would talk & share a few smiles almost every day & news of someone's passing would be known throughout the town in a few hours. I have lots of good memories of your Mom and the "store", where we spent our quarters, dimes & nickles, often one at a time. As an adult I often thought of her & remembered & admired her work ethic, as we were trying to keep work & home going. I see that her resting place is not far from Mom's and I will be saying a prayer for her as I pass by, with a sincere hope that she is enjoying life on the other side. To the Beeso Family, Beeso's store holds a lot of memories for me. It was always an adventure looking at all the wonderful items for sale and the apricot squares were always a favorite. Cecil gave my husband, John a summer job in 1964 while he was visiting his grandmother, Catherine Power; even our daughter, Sarah thought it was the greatest store to visit.
